Dr Jenny Weston

Veterinarian - BVMS BSc (Murdoch)

I am the sole owner of Torrens Road Veterinary Clinic, which I designed and had built in 1998. I have been a vet now for over 20 years and continue to strive to learn new and improved techniques and treatment strategies by attending numerous continuing educations courses and conferences. Most recent professional developments that I have attended include feline medicine, diabetes management and dermatology topics.

My veterinary special interests include dermatology (skin problems), orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, behaviour problems and prevention including puppy preschool.

Out side of work I am busily rearing a young family with the help of a very dedicated and helpful husband who is currently “Mr Mum” for our two young boys. This allows me to dedicate more time to clients and the running of the vet clinic.

As a family we enjoy a lot out doors type activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, 4WD treks and gardening.

Nurse - Diploma in Animal Technology, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

Ricky joined the clinic back in March 2011 on a part-time bases and quickly became a full time member of the team. Ricky has special interests in Laboratory work as well as radiography and is passionate about canine care, especially with artic breeds and senior dogs. He shares his home and spare time with his senior siberian husky, young Rough Coated Collie and Alaskan Malamute.

Alice

Veterinary Nurse

Alice joined the team in October 2016. With passion for animals in her younger years she has since acted on this in and began her vet nursing career through study and working at the clinic. She has a special interest is small animal and pocket pet care. 
In her spare time she also enjoys improving her drawing and tailoring skills aswell as relaxing with her rat, rabbit and 2 dogs Bailey (Staffy cross) and Pepper (Dalmation)

Miranda

Support Staff

As some of our clients know, Miranda became the clinic cat back in 2001. Unfortunately, she suffered from a nasty bone cancer when she was less than a year old but after successful surgical removal of the cancer (and the leg involved), Miranda spent many years residing at the clinic as the official "meet and greeter" to our visitors. For 18 years she enjoyed life living with Jenny and her family, while still getting visits to the clinic on occasion for holiday sessions where she resumed her role as clinic cat and took over all the comfortable chairs in the clinic.
Sadly Miranda passed away June 2019 having lived a great life. She will always hold a place in our hearts and as the best clinic cat.
